- Kia has teased the refreshed 2025 EV6 crossover, which is expected to be shown in full later this year.
- The EV6 will likely benefit from the same large 84.0-kWh battery pack that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is getting for 2025.
- The images show a revised lighting system with angular C-shaped LEDs in the headlights.
Kia is preparing to reveal the refreshed 2025 EV6 electric crossover, teasing fans with two interesting images showcasing updated lighting graphics and a fun styling approach. The teasers hint at a more dynamic design direction for the popular EV, which is set to make its full debut later this year.
Beating the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N earlier, the Kia EV6 GT has proved to be the fastest car in Korea. Impressions of the EV6 GT prototype during its debut have left a lasting impression, particularly as seen in drag race videos demonstrating its capability.
It was remarkable to see the stock domestic vehicle take off compared to the higher priced sports cars. Now, as the EV6 facelift gets closer, spy photos of the upgraded EV6 GT have surfaced, raising expectations.

Refreshed EV6 Teased
Going by the teaser, these two images are quite revealing. The redesign appears to bring the EV6 in line with other electric Kia’s that have been revealed recently, such as the EV5 SUV that will not be offered in the United States.
The headlights now feature an angular C-shaped LED accent, which hooks over the main headlamps to connect to a thin trim piece that mimics the shape of the “tiger nose” grilles seen on the brand’s gas-powered offerings. The taillight is still a single piece that extends over and above the tailgate, but it has a new LED graphic that ends in a triangle.
Although no interior images were shared, it is speculated that Kia will update the cabin with a refreshed screen layout and potentially revised controls on the center console. No significant changes are expected in terms of hardware. However, following the lead of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the refreshed 2025 EV6 may feature an upgraded battery pack that could potentially increase the range by around 20 miles.
The current EV6 features a 77.4-kilowatt battery pack in various performance applications, offering up to 310 miles of range and 218 miles with 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque (and rear-wheel drive) or 576 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque (and rear-wheel drive). Does. and 545 lb-ft of torque on the high-performance dual-motor, all-wheel-drive GT trim. The updated 2025 model is expected to get an upgraded 84 kWh battery pack (which its sibling Hyundai Ioniq 5 already gets in its latest update). This will help increase the range figures by a few miles, but we don’t really expect much change in performance output across the trim range.
