There has been a disturbing trend of individuals disrupting musical performances by throwing objects at artists (Bebe Rexha) for some time now. It’s difficult to discern the exact reason behind their actions, whether it stems from the fallout of pandemic-induced isolation, from a cultural shift driven by social media’s focus on self-importance, or simply from a rise in rudeness. Whatever the root cause, it’s frowned upon to treat artists this way.

Bebe Rexha reportedly removed a fan from her Wisconsin show after he threw objects at her on stage. This has been seen before. In 2023, Rexha suffered a serious facial injury when a fan threw a phone at her face during a concert. At one of her recent shows, fan cameras caught the singer asking security personnel to remove someone who did this. “Out, out,” said Rexha, who then jokes, “Or, if you want to hit me in the face, I’ll have to charge the other person — I’d love to be rich.” Rexha was referring to Nicholas Malavagna, who was arrested by police at her show in New York last year.

She later clarified, “I’m not inviting him, please. It was just a joke.” A fan who posted the clip online later revealed that Rexha had to stop the show twice more due to people throwing things at her.

After telling the audience that it was necessary to call the police to remove the troublemaker, Rexha told her fans, “It didn’t have to go that far, you know what I’m talking about?” Rexha reassured her fans sitting in the audience by saying, “Like, I love you.

I’m sorry, I’m sorry guys.” In another video footage obtained by TMZ, Rexha can be seen telling the rude attendee, “If you want to hit me in the face, I’ve told them to blame it on someone else. I’d rather be rich!” However, she clarified immediately after that it was all a joke and that she didn’t like being hit in the face with any object.

According to another fan who witnessed the mayhem, several other attendees were throwing objects at Rexha and she had to be removed from the venue. However, this has not yet been confirmed. According to Page Six, Rexha told her audience that due to the disruptions, she would perform her song “From the Top” with David Guetta.
